The workshop is designed to introduce therapists to EFT and help you be more successful treating couples and relationships. It may even help you improve your own compassion for others and strengthen relationships in your own life. Imagine improving your therapy skill, having more success in treating couples. We know from recent research (Levenson and Sandberg, 2010) attending an EFT Externship can do just that. This is the EFT Externship developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and other EFT Trainers over the past 16 years. E.F.T. is recognized by the A.P.A. as empirically-validated model based on 17 outcome studies to date done with excellent adherence to research protocols. E.F.T. is both evidence-based and research-based supported by numerous process research studies in E.F.T.
You’ll see live demonstration of E.F.T., video clips of the model in action, and a chance to apply new ideas at the workshop in role-plays with role-play support facilitators by your side.

About your Trainer: “Jim’s ability to engage and connect with his trainees at the workshop I attended, turned me into a total fan. He can teach the skills of EFT and he embodies them. Within the first five minutes of the training, he had succeeded to put the whole room at ease with his own willingness to be vulnerable, exposing his own fears and insecurities as a therapist, as a supervisor and as a trainer. . His absolute “realness” enabled us all to disable our very own guards and facades. What better gift to a therapist, who is trying to learn to do the very same thing with his/her clients – to facilitate this very same process between insecurely bonded couples? He walks the walk and when I left the training, I knew I’d be back again,” Maria Lorditch, LCSW, certified EFT therapist, New Jersey
