A hearty and heartfelt congratulations to Colorado’s newest I.C.E.E.F.T. Certified E.F.T. Therapist, Dr. Jim Kemp!  Jim approaches E.F.T. work with couples with grace and intensity.  With a strong interest in men’s issues, Dr. Kemp focused early on in his career on providing therapy services, individual and group, to men.  Over time, he saw that frequently men’s struggles centered on their close relationships with partners and in family.  Naturally, he gravitated to couples therapy, and then found emotionally focused therapy. Congratulations to Dr. Dawn Taylor, Colorado’s Newest Certified E.F.T. Therapist

Dr. Dawn Taylor, a co-founder of the Boulder E.F.T. Community, a well admired colleague, recently received certification from the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (I.C.E.E.F.T.).  In order to achieve this distinction, Dr. Taylor completed additional coursework in E.F.T. Training and also sent two video examples of her work with couples.  The feedback from I.C.E.E.F.T. was glowing.  Her ability to attune to each partner and bring E.F.T. alive in the room is strong. Colorado E.F.T. Externship 2016 Dates and Location Announced

We are happy to announce the 2016 E.F.T. Externship presented by the Colorado Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. E.F.T. Externships provided by the Center receive high evaluation scores consistently.   The training includes live demonstrations of the model and video examples of E.F.T. in Action.  For therapists who work with couples and families, or those wishing to gain the skills and confidence to do so, this workshop is for you.  E.F.T., recognized by the A.P.A. as an empirically-validated approach to couples therapy, has the support of 32 outcome studies to date.  Research indicates that the results of E.F.T. are robust, holding steady or improving over time for couples.  Some 70 […]
